  • Guatemala (Med) Spring Break 2024 - Zoe Shah's Story

    March 27, 2024

In Guatemala, our team worked with Health Talents for one of their thirteen surgery weeks that they bring in volunteers for throughout the year. Working with volunteer American eye and orthopedic surgeons, we literally helped make the blind see and the lame walk providing medical care in the name of Jesus! As student caregivers working with licensed medical providers, we learned to not say that we were "just" students, but to say that we were each there to be an important piece of God's Kingdom work.

  • New York Spring Break 2024 - Y'Alexia's Story

    March 26, 2024

There were six Lipscomb students and three faculty/staff that traveled to New York on this team. On this trip we were granted with tasks that needed to be completed around the school, but most importantly, connecting with the students. We attended the school Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3 PM. Each day we did different things. We laminated for a teacher, helped with arts and crafts, and hosted a pizza party for our classroom. The students on the trip were all assigned a classroom to work with, serving almost like a student teacher for that week.

  • Baja (General Athletics) Winter 2024 - Aly's Story

    January 11, 2024

Visiting our brothers and sisters in Mexico is always a humbling experience.
However, trying to sum up the week might be the most humbling part of all. I am so
honored to share our visit with you, but the hard part is that it’s not solely “our
visit”. It’s the Lord’s first of all, it’s for us 25, the people of Mexico’s, it’s yours who
read this, and the others we will share with. So how can I tell it all? How can I put to
words what the Lord did emotionally, spiritually, relationally, and behind closed

  • Perth 2023 - Elizabeth's Story

    August 2, 2023

"This summer, I had the opportunity to travel to Perth, Australia and spend three full weeks serving with Lifestreams Church. During this time, I formed friendships that will last a lifetime and felt closer to God than ever before.

  • Brisbane - Joelle's Story

    August 2, 2023

One of the best things about serving on a student team is seeing how beautifully God orchestrates them. With His intentional selection of each student with their specific passions and giftings, we were each able to serve the kids at Gateway during their Kids Take Over event.

Some were able to go back to their camp days cheering for their team in the Take That games while others helped kids express their creativity in Take One. All of us were able to show God’s love in the ways we knew best.

  • Malawi (Med) Summer 2023 - Alyssa's Story

    July 19, 2023

I was sitting in the Beaman library in mid-November when I received the email that I, along with three other nursing students and a pharmacy student, had been accepted on the May ‘23 medical mission trip to Malawi, Africa. I was full of excitement and a little nervous as the day we left grew closer.

  • Thoughts from Honduras (Engineering Predisan Solar) Summer 2023

    June 30, 2023

Reflecting on all we have done in the past week I feel deeply blessed to have been a part of this journey and know that we will come back to the US with hearts full, spirits replenished, and a broadened perspective of God’s creation and all he has done for and through us. In addition to the projects completed and families served, we leave this experience having made meaningful and faith driven friendships that will continue for years to come.

  • Honduras (Engineering Predisan Bridge) Summer 2023 - Aaron Hardy's Day Nine Update

    June 28, 2023

Last night was cooler than it had been, and our team woke up having slept better. The better recovery was well received, because the team was still recovering from the work from yesterday. The main tasks for the day were filling in the ramps leading up to the bridge, preparing the deck planks, and installing the hanger boards that connect the deck to the cables. The morning was also spent finalizing and checking the cables. It was great to see people in the community of all ages excited about the progress on the bridge and excited to help.
