    Highlights from our time in Honduras:

    We woke up and ate a delicious breakfast before beginning on our first project of the trip. We split into five teams, with two installing separate solar panels, one building a shelf to hold the batteries, a fourth installing light in our host's kitchen, and one installing and wiring the new inverter, charge controller, and battery wiring.

  • Little Hands, Big Hearts - Summer 2025

    We began our projects as our team split up so that half of us could work on the installation of solar panels on one of the roofs of the classrooms and the other half helped to pick up stones to build gabion baskets to reinforce the LHBH outer walls. While were working on placing the panels, some of the kids from the nearby neighborhoods came to play

    Oftentimes, when we think of the mission field or missions work, our minds immediately go to distant countries and overseas opportunities. We picture faraway places with unfamiliar cultures and languages, where the need for the gospel feels urgent and visible. While these opportunities are important and impactful, it’s easy to overlook the fact that the mission field begins right where we are.

    New York City opened my eyes—it opened my eyes to the truth that the mission field isn’t always far away from home.
