Embodying faith in academics
When Klarissa Jackson met the group of Lipscomb students who worshipped in her local congregation, she was impressed by their character and demeanor.
Now as a current assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences in the College of Pharmacy, she continues to be impressed by the integration of faith in a learning environment that promotes academic excellence. Lipscomb has given her the opportunity to integrate her three interests: faith, teaching, and research. Currently, Jackson teaches in the Doctor of Pharmacy program and works as a research scientist, bringing innovation to her industry while developing student researchers.
She believes Lipscomb Leads as a competitive research university, especially in the pharmaceutical sciences. Opportunities like summer research programs and a legacy of prestigious pharmacy fellowships are a testament to Lipscomb’s investment in cultivating curious, committed students. Our dedicated faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, such as the Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Center, help to position our students for success.
