UPDATED AT 6:25 A.M.: Staff is to report at 9 a.m. Essential staff to report earlier if possible. University offices will open at 9 a.m.
Class Schedule
The class schedule for Wednesday, Feb. 18 is as follows: 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. classes are canceled due to inclement weather. At this time, the normal class schedule will resume with 10 a.m. classes and will follow the Class Schedule Disruption Policy. Faculty and students are urged to use their best judgment regarding travel conditions. If an instructor needs to cancel a specific class session, the instructor should notify students at the earliest possible time. Students not able to travel to campus should notify their faculty at the earliest possible time.
The provost’s office will monitor the weather as it develops overnight and, if needed, will make any announcement by 8 a.m. Wednesday morning regarding the schedule for classes that begins at 10 a.m. or later.
Lipscomb Dining Services will be operating on its regular schedule.
Staff and University Office Schedule
In order to be ready for students when classes resume at 10 a.m., campus offices will open and staff will report according to normal business hours.
Staff members who determine conditions are not safe for travel to campus, should notify their supervisors.Staff members are urged to use discretion and their best judgment regarding travel conditions as everyone's safety is our top concern. Weather conditions will be monitored closely overnight and any updates, if needed, will be posted on the the Lipscomb University website and on the university's social media sites as well as sent via email by 6:30 a.m. Wednesday if there is a change.
Other university activities and events that have been canceled or postponed include:
- Feb. 18 — Black History Month: Soul Food Celebration. POSTPONED.
- Feb. 20-22 — Bison Baseball Mule Mix Classic at Dugan Field with Western Illinoise, Ohio and Valparaiso. CANCELED.
