Sustainability institute hosts mid-week service for National Day of Prayer for Creation Care

Lipscomb University and its Institute for Sustainable Practice is supporting the National Day of Prayer led by the Evangelical Environmental Network with an informal mid-week service of prayer and Bible readings focusing on Christian responsibilities to care for the earth and all life forms.

7 p.m., service including prayer and Bible reading

In addition, to honor the intent of the National Day of Prayer for Creation Care, Lipscomb’s Institute for Sustainable Practice invites the public to a panel discussion at the 2010 Christian Scholars’ Conference, Friday, June 4 at 10:30 a.m., exploring the intersections between faith and creation care or environmental sustainability.
 
Faith and Sustainability: An Eternal Partnership?

A panel discussion on the roles of faith and science disciplines in Lipscomb’s growing sustainability programs, featuring:

The public is also invited to observe one of Lipscomb’s first graduate classes in “Creation Care and Spiritual Formation” at 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 4, in the Institute for Sustainable Practice conference room in the A.M. Burton Health Sciences Building.
