Sinbad Brings Live Comedy Show to Nashville April 24

sinbad1 Sinbad, the man who says he doesn't know any jokes but still manages to make audiences shout with laughter, will bring his high-energy comic style to Nashville, Tenn., Thursday, April 24, 8 p.m. at the Allen Arena on the Lipscomb University campus. This single live performance serves as a comedy tribute to the well-loved comedienne Minnie Pearl and all proceeds benefit The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation.

Sinbad, known for his stand-up comedy, HBO comedy specials and movie roles, is expected to deliver his impressions of Nashville and the rest of the world during the live performance.

"We're very excited to have such a well-known and respected entertainer headline our major fundraising event of the year," said Patrick Clemens, executive director of The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation. "Sinbad's style of comic storytelling about real life events creates a bond with the audience, the same kind of bond Minnie Pearl developed with her audiences."

Local comedienne Cindy Moore also will perform as Minnie Pearl.

Tickets also are available at the Allen Arena box office at Lipscomb University. Student admission is $15, general admission $25, floor seating in the front of the arena $35. The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to funding programs that provide the greatest benefit to cancer patients and their families, including new programs in cancer research, education, and patient and family services. All of these are done in memory of internationally known comedienne Minnie Pearl.
