President's Convocation set for Wednesday

Lipscomb University will host its first President’s Convocation Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. in Allen Arena, located on the Lipscomb University campus, 3901 Granny White Pike, Nashville, Tenn.

The President’s Convocation is a new event at Lipscomb, designed to celebrate the university’s heritage and anticipate its future, according to President Randy Lowry.  In addition to a message by Lowry, the Convocation will feature the first-ever induction of current students into the Lipscomb University Alumni Association as the university seeks to incorporate them into the Lipscomb “family.”

“We hope to begin in them as students a legacy that our faculty, staff and alumni have illustrated so clearly through the years—a positive influence on the home, church, community and workplace that gives glory to God and enhances the image of Lipscomb University throughout the nation and world,” said Lowry.
