No. 15 Bisons draw No. 2 North Carolina in NCAA tournament

Sunday brought plenty of reasons for Lipscomb fans to celebrate. Bison players, coaches, fans and friends gathered in Allen Arena to watch the NCAA bracket be unveiled on TBS' Selection Show. 

In front of a raucous crowd, it was announced that No. 15-seeded Lipscomb will take on No. 2-seeded North Carolina in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The matchup is set for Friday, March 16 in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

The Tar Heels are looking to defend their national title after defeating Gonzaga by a score of 71-65 last April in Phoenix. Coached by the legendary Roy Williams, North Carolina boasts six national championships and a storied basketball history. The Tar Heels are led by Joel Berry (17.1 PPG) and Luke Maye (17.2 PPG), who hit a game-winning shot against Kentucky to send North Carolina to the Final Four last season. 

Game time and televsion information will be announced when its becomes avaliable. 

TICKET INFORMATION:

Lipscomb is allotted a limited number of tickets in our “Lipscomb section” that we can sell to our fans. Tickets for the First/Second Round games are sold to us by the NCAA as a ticket book. The ticket you buy would be good for all games on the two dates (March 16th/18th) in Charlotte. We are selling these at the exact cost charged us - $100 each.
