Nashville-area alumni recognized in Business Journal 40-Under-40 class

The Nashville Business Journal recently announced its 40-Under-40 2026 class. This annual award recognizes young professionals who are shaping Nashville business and their communities for the better. This year’s class represents the next generation of trailblazers—top business leaders under the age of 40 who are driving innovation and achieving remarkable results in their industries and communities.
Lipscomb alumni named to the 2026 list:
- Alicia Bell (’13, Bachelor of Arts in psychology), CEO, GraceWorks Ministries
- Mary Cypress Metz (’12, M.Ed., Teaching, Learning and Leading), senior vice president of strategy, State Collaborative on Reforming Education (SCORE)
- Vanessa Helbig Johnson, (non-degreed alumna), senior vice president of community programs, YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee
