Lipscomb University's Students for International Peace and Justice host benefit concert on April 23

Lipscomb University's Students for International Peace and Justice will host Phil Keaggy, Ceili Rain, Jim Cole, and George Pendergrass for a benefit concert on April 23 at 7 p.m. in Collins Alumni Auditorium, 3901 Granny White Pike, Nashville.
Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for all others. Tickets are available on the Lipscomb campus at the Allen Arena Box Office from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-through-Friday. Tickets may also be purchased at Lifeway Christian Stores downtown and Cool Springs locations, Family Christian Stores located at Hickory Hollow Mall and Mallory Lane, Logos Bookstore in Green Hills, 21st Century Christian on 12th Avenue, Cokesbury on 8th Avenue, and at the Kindred Bookstores on Nolensville Pike and Old Hickory.
Proceeds go to support hunger relief efforts in Honduras.
Phil Keaggy has won seven Dove Awards in a career that spans more than 30 years, including the Dove for Instrumental Album of 2001 for "Lights of Madrid." He is nominated again in 2002 for "Special Event Album of the Year," for his participation in the album, "Prayer of Jabez."
Ceili Rain is a seven piece ensemble that melds hard-driving rock guitar licks with traditional Celtic sounds and instruments such as button accordion, tin whistle, fiddle and bagpipes.
Jim Cole has four Dove Award nominations include Album and Song of the Year. His fifth CD, "What's In A Name," will be released in 2002.
George Pendergrass is best known for his key role with the Acappella Company. George was the group's popular lead singer for seven years.
