 |

Lipscomb University's Student Government Association will host Andy Griggs with special guest Blake Shelton for a benefit concert on April 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Allen Arena, 3901 Granny White Pike, Nashville.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster locations, through the Ticketmaster charge-by-phone line at (615) 255-9600 or on their website at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Allen Arena Box Office from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-through-Friday.

All proceeds will go to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital on behalf of Lipscomb student Lincoln Rogers.

Rogers suffers from "Wilms Tumor," the most common form of kidney cancer in children. Wilms Tumor most often affects children under age five, and until the 1960s, was almost always fatal. Today the survival rate for all cases nationwide is more than 80 percent, according to the National Childhood Cancer Foundation. Rogers is the first person in the history of the Make-A-Wish Foundation to receive a college education as his wish.
