Lipscomb University's Leadership Institute announces Leadership program

 |

Lipscomb University’s Leadership Institute, a service of the Center for Leadership Excellence, announces an inaugural program called “Leadership 101: The ABCs of Christian School Leadership” to be held Oct. 30 through Nov. 1 at Longview Mansion, 811 Caldwell Lane, Nashville. Prior registration is required.
The program is designed to support current and future leaders in Christian education.
“Each new term – sometimes each new day – presents challenges that test the most experienced Christian school leader,” said Walt Leaver, vice president for university relations. “This conference will address how we, as Christian school leaders, can equip current young leaders and those training to be leaders in Christian education to meet those challenges.
“We plan to focus on the practical, basic, and often challenging realities of leadership function. These challenges can include leadership style in the Christian school, developing leadership skills, managing conflict and change, making decisions, how leadership is distinguished from management, developing and sharing a vision for your school, instructional leadership and more.”
“Leadership 101: The ABCs of Christian School Leadership” will be interactive and hands-on, working from case studies and other experiences common to leadership in Christian education.
“These sessions will be led by professionals with proven and relevant leadership experience,” Leaver said. “Participants will have opportunities to build new relationships and network with others who are, or will be, in leadership positions.”
