Lipscomb University has been recognized as one of the nation’s top colleges as it has been named one of “America’s Best Colleges” by Forbes.

Forbes, a global media company, ranks the top 500 colleges and universities nationwide in its annual list. According to an article that accompanied this year’s list, the rankings are based on return on investment, average student debt levels and outcomes for graduates. The rankings also reflect factors like enrollment and outcomes for low-income students.

“Being named to Forbes’ list of America’s Best Colleges is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students who make Lipscomb such a vibrant and impactful community,” said Lipscomb President Candice McQueen. “This recognition affirms our commitment to providing a transformative education rooted in Christian values and preparing our students for lives of purpose and service.”

This national ranking comes one week after the university set enrollment records with the largest first-day total enrollment in school history along with the largest class of new freshmen for the third consecutive year, a 16% increase in new graduate students over this time last year and a record first-day freshman-to-sophomore retention rate.

This is the latest recognition for the university as its reputation as a top-tier, nationally recognized institution continues to grow. The school continues to distinguish itself as one of the country’s leading Christian universities. This month, Lipscomb was ranked the #13 Christian university in the nation by Niche.com and in July was awarded a four-star rating in Money magazine’s 2025 Best Colleges.
