 |

The Lipscomb University Artist Series presents the Orlando Consort, joined by the Lipscomb University A Cappella Singers, in concert Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. at Christ the King Church, 3001 Belmont Blvd., Nashville.

The Orlando Consort, formed in 1988 by the Early Music Centre of Great Britain, has rapidly achieved a reputation as one of the most expert and consistently challenging groups performing an early music repertoire. For their work on the extraordinary techniques of 12th Century Aquitanian polyphony, they were awarded the 1996 Noah Greenberg Award by the American Musicological Society. The Consort has also attracted considerable attention for its imaginative programming of contemporary music.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Admission is free with a Lipscomb ID. For more information, call 279.5929 or 800.333.4358, ext. 5929.
