Show: NBC's Deal or No Deal
When: Monday, April 23 at 7 pm; conclusion Monday April 30 at 7pm.

Hayley Tucker, Lipscomb University junior, headed to L.A. in March to try to beat the banker on the popular game show Deal or No Deal. She hoped to beat the odds as she tested her skills and tried to find the million dollars hidden in the coveted winning suitcase. Now we get to find out how she did.

“I got a call from a producer of the NBC game show Deal or No Deal!” commented Tucker, who came to Lipscomb from her hometown of Midlothian, Va. “She told me I would be flying out on a Sunday to L.A. and we would be filming on Monday and Tuesday. What a whirlwind!!”

Though Tucker knew then what her winning amount was, she has not been allowed to share that information with anyone until the show airs April 23 and concludes April 30. When asked what she might do with her winnings, she stated, “The top prize is $1,000,000. Wow, that’s crazy. I will pay off my college and pay for my pharmacy school, as well as pay off my younger brother and sister's college. After that, I'm not sure.”

Tucker’s family traveled from Virginia to be with her on the show. Both of her parents along with her 17-year-old brother and 11-year-old sister were on stage helping her decide whether or not to take the deal.

Tucker was chosen for the show after going to an open casting call in Richmond, Va., last July. “I got a call back and filled out a larger application and spent 20 minutes in a one-on-one taped interview with a casting director,” she stated. “Then I played a mini-mock game with my supporters on tape. Somehow I got contacted now, 7 months later!”

Tucker’s classmates wished her well went she headed to L.A. and hope she remembers them if she won a million dollars. They are all excited to finally find out if she took the deal or held out for the top prize.
