Lipscomb University’s College of Health Sciences has launched three new graduate-level certificate programs in exercise and human performance, designed to help professionals advance their careers and prepare for top industry certifications.

The new offerings are each 12-hour, fully online certificate programs in the areas of exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, and exercise and sport nutrition. They are tailored for working professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge, prepare for certification exams through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), or to earn continuing education credits.

Each certificate includes two core and two elective courses delivered in an asynchronous format, allowing students the flexibility to learn on their own schedules while gaining advanced training in exercise science.

“These new certificates are designed to meet a growing demand in the health and fitness industry for highly trained professionals who are prepared to meet national certification standards,” said Lynette Austin, dean of the College of Health Sciences. “Whether you are a practicing professional looking to add specialized credentials or just beginning to explore the field, these programs offer a rigorous, flexible path forward. Our goal is to equip individuals to improve health outcomes through science-based practice grounded in ethical leadership and faith-informed values.”

The programs are open to individuals with a bachelor’s degree in a related field. They offer a strategic opportunity for professionals in coaching, personal training, kinesiology, sports nutrition or allied health to elevate their expertise and credentials.
