Lipscomb to host TSCPA Accounting Academy

 |

Lipscomb University will host a free four-day program for high school juniors and seniors who may have an interest in the accounting profession. The Tennessee Society of CPAs will hold its second annual TSCPA Accounting Academy June 8-11 at Lipscomb. Part of TSCPA's accounting careers program, the purpose of the summer camp is to educate students about opportunities in the accounting profession and encourage them to pursue a career in accounting. It will expose students to real-life experiences and give them first-hand knowledge of the possibilities available through a career in accounting. The program allows students to participate in a variety of activities, including interactive business case computer studies, a review of ethics, etiquette, and career planning in the accounting profession, presentations by business leaders, and tours of several large corporations and CPA firms in Middle Tennessee. Participants will be in residence on Lipscomb's campus for three nights. Students are given free access to the program, including room, board and other direct costs. For full information and registration instructions, visit the TSCPA website.
