With the possibility of inclement weather in the forecast, Lipscomb University admissions officials have announced that the Lipscomb Friday event scheduled for Friday, Jan. 12, will take place as planned but with a modified schedule.

“For a typical Lipscomb Friday we have prospective students and their families who come from across the country to visit campus to determine if Lipscomb is a fit for their student,” said Johnathan Akin, assistant vice president for undergraduate admissions.

“We already have a number of families who have arrived in Nashville for this week’s Lipscomb Friday, and we will still have a number of our regularly scheduled activities for the day taking place. We may have to modify some of the faculty visits and other meetings, but prospective students and their families will still have a great opportunity to learn more about Lipscomb at this special day.”

Lipscomb Friday events are designed to give prospective students and their families a taste of campus life while learning more about academic programs and other aspects of college life. During Lipscomb Fridays, students have the opportunity to sit in on a class, meet current students, meet professors, tour campus, talk with ad admissions counselor, eat in the Bison Café and visit the residence halls.

Several Lipscomb Fridays are scheduled throughout the academic year. The remaining events for this spring are Feb. 19, March 30, April 13 and April 20. To learn more about Lipscomb Friday, visit www.lipscomb.edu/admissions/undergraduate/visits-events.

Campus tours are also given on a daily basis by appointment.
