As Lipscomb University and Academy celebrates the institution's 125th year, a variety of special events and activities are planned as opportunities to honor the past, recognize achievements and dream about the future.

Browns Creek_300This Friday, Oct. 14, the Lipscomb community has a unique opportunity to share a glimpse of the impact Lipscomb has made locally, in Tennessee, across the country and around the world through a 30-minute television special airing at 7 p.m. CST on WSMV-Channel 4 (NBC). While it is impossible to share the complete story of Lipscomb, all of its accolades and accomplishments, and the many innovative ways it is making a difference in the lives of our students and the community, this special, hosted by President Randy Lowry, highlights a few examples that reflect the spirit and impact of this institution.

The special features some of Lipscomb's own employees and students as well as others who have been touched by Lipscomb sharing stories. Included in the featured programs are Lipscomb Academy's green team and its work on Brown's Creek; the Lipscomb LIFE program at the Tennessee Prison for Women; Leadership Tennessee; The Well Coffeehouse and the Business As Mission program; and the Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering's mission to build a pedestrian bridge for school children in Honduras.

Make plans to tune in to Channel 4 this Friday night at 7 p.m. CST (or set your DVRs!) and celebrate with us! Visit, 125.lipscomb.edu for more anniversary celebration information.
