Lipscomb University made its debut in the Wall Street Journal’s 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S. ranking this past fall, with a top-five ranking in character development and student satisfaction.
The ranking, released on Sept. 5, rates the top 500 universities in the country, and was developed by the Wall Street Journal in collaboration with research partners College Pulse and Statista.
This year, the survey introduced new questions focused on the extent to which the colleges develop character strengths that help students make a meaningful contribution to society, including moral courage, resilience and fairness.
This is the latest recognition for Lipscomb University. This past spring the U.S. Department of the Army bestowed a prestigious Community Partnership Award on the College of Leadership & Public Service in a ceremony at the Pentagon. Earlier this year, the College of Business was ranked the top undergraduate program in Tennessee and among the top 50 in the nation by Poets&Quants for Undergrads in its annual Best Undergrad Business Schools rankings. The 2024 Animation Career Review ranked Lipscomb the No. 13 Top Bachelor of Arts in Animation Program in the U.S., No. 1 Top Private Animation School in Tennessee and the No. 39 Top Private Animation School in the U.S.
Lipscomb has been named a 2024-25 College of Distinction and its College of Education, College of Pharmacy and Pfeffer Graduate School of Business were all recognized by U.S. News & World Report as being among the best in the nation.
