Lipscomb Board of Trust adds five

 |

The Lipscomb University Board of Trust seated five new members at its quarterly meeting held today on campus. Seated were Robbie B. Davis, Nashville; J. Gregory Hardeman, Nashville; William B. McDonald, Centerville, Tenn.; and Sandra W. Perry, Franklin, Ky. David W. Ralston, Memphis, returned to the board following a one-year hiatus as required by board term limits. "Each of these new members brings to the board a deep appreciation for Lipscomb's distinctively Christian mission and a commitment to the notion that a premier academic program is demanded by faith. Each also brings specific experiences and expertise that will enhance our board and our university," said Lipscomb President Stephen F. Flatt. Davis, a 1974 Lipscomb graduate, is a former president of the university's Associated Ladies for Lipscomb and has supported the university in a variety of volunteer roles through the years, Flatt said. Hardeman, also a 1974 Lipscomb graduate, is an attorney with Nashville's Hardeman and Scruggs Attorneys at Law. McDonald, a 1975 Lipscomb graduate, is owner of McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville and is a former president of Lipscomb's National Alumni Association. Perry, a 1982 Lipscomb graduate, is a homemaker and is associated with Country Creek Golf Course, Franklin, Ky. Ralston, a 1962 graduate, served on the board from 1989 through 2002, when term limits required him to leave the board for at least one year. He is president of the Memphis Tom's Sales.
