Congratulations to Chad Herndon, Mt. Juliet, and Raffi Frensley, Goodlettsville, on their selection as the 2006-2007 edScholars at Lipscomb University. Both have been awarded $25,000 scholarships based on a range of criteria including academic merit, leadership, community service and financial need. edScholar is a scholarship program sponsored jointly by edSouth and edAmerica designed to recognize and reward outstanding students seeking higher education in Tennessee. “The edScholar program is a way to transform promising young Tennesseans into the leaders of their generation,” says Tommy Schumpert, Program Director. Both Chad and Raffi will begin classes at Lipscomb in the fall.
