Lipscomb Academy Art Event to feature artist Vicki Denaburg Feb. 9-11

Lipscomb Academy will host its 14th annual Art Event on Feb. 9-11.
This years’ art event will feature Vicki Denaburg, a contemporary impressionist and abstract artist from Birmingham, Alabama. Denaburg has been a contributor and friend of the Lipscomb Academy Art Event for several years.
This year the Art Event moves to the McCadams Athletic Center located on 1127 Caldwell Lane adjacent to the Lipscomb Academy athletic complex.
The public is invited to attend the opening night reception of the event on Friday, Feb. 9, from 5-9 p.m. After the event’s opening night reception, the event will open on Feb. 10 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Feb. 11 from 1-5 p.m.
The Art Event has become the single-largest fundraising event for Lipscomb Academy, In 2017, the event raised over $58,000 for Lipscomb Academy’s annual fund.
Along with Denaburg, 75 local and national artists will be showcasing their various forms of art that include fine art, photography, wood, metal and jewelry displays.
Throughout the event, a silent auction benefiting the Fine Arts program at Lipscomb Academy will feature items available for bidding that include original works from the weekend’s participating artists and artwork created by Lipscomb Academy’s art students.
Admission to “The Art Event at Lipscomb Academy” is free and open to the public.
