Nashville, Tenn. - Kristin Peck picked up her fiftieth career win when her Lady Bisons defeated Middle Tennessee State University 4-3 at Blue Raider Field Thursday afternoon.

The Blue Raiders scored early in the second inning on a solo shot to left field by Martha Davis.

Sara Simons would answer the Blue Raiders with an RBI single to left field to score Lauren Dortwegt in the top of the third inning. Abby Keese would close the inning with a two run homer to right center to take the lead 2-1.

The Lady Bisons would extend their lead one more when Katie Brokmeyer ripped a double to left center to score Abigail Craig. Brokmeyer finished the game two for three with one RBI.

The Blue Raiders picked up two more runs in the bottom of the seventh, and loaded the bases with two outs. Alaina Jacobson pitching in relief got Jessica Ives to pop up to third base to earn her the save and end the game.

The Lady Bisons rise to 5-8 and are taking the weekend off before playing Charleston Southern in their home opener at Draper Diamond at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 4.
