June Advance 2007

Carly Short and Rebecca Bilbo |

The transition from high school to college affects not only the student, but the parents as well. Students and parents from all over the
country gathered at Lipscomb University for the June session of ADVANCE. While the new freshmen have the opportunity to create class schedules for the Fall, take placement tests and meet upperclassmen their parents prepare for an empty nest through their own orientation.

Advance is also a place to begin new friendships that will change their lives forever.

"I feel like this is where God wants me to be," said Zack Gannon when asked why he chose Lipscomb. "I originally didn't want to go to a Christian university but when I visited Lipscomb I felt it was the best place for me. I felt accepted not only as a Christian but who I really am."

Other ADVANCE sessions are planned for July 12-13 and August 13-14.
