It has been a tremendous year!
The school graduated our inaugural cohort in December. Despite the disruption brought on by the pandemic, the cohort graduated on time, with 32 students completing the program and receiving their master’s degree on Dec. 19. Lipscomb was the only school in the state to graduate its students on time in the midst of Covid-19.
As of this writing, the program has a 100% first-time PANCE pass rate! What a testimony to the hard work and perseverance of the students and faculty within the program.
As our second cohort has started clinical rotations and the third has progressed into the most challenging section of the curriculum, we continue to be excited about the achievement and success of the students. We have completed the CASPA admissions cycle to seat the fourth cohort this fall.
The students, faculty and staff have worked tirelessly to keep the program on time, efficient, successful and Christ-focused during tumultuous times. We continue to adapt with hybrid course delivery when necessary, hands-on clinical experiences and ever-adapting faculty to meet the next challenge that the pandemic presents.
I am honored to be a part of such a dedicated family that seeks to serve patients, their community, our students and glorify God as we live out our calling. The Lipscomb School of Physician Assistant Studies is thriving in equipping students to serve and achieve success. I hope each of you are able to stay safe.
