Conversations program panel discussion on Hurricane Katrina relief effort postponed

 |

Lipscomb University's Conversations program will host a panel discussion on Lipscomb's participation in the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. The discussion to be held Nov. 10 has been postponed. Those planning to participate are encouraged to attend the Freedom Week event with featured speaker Harry Kellam, the "First African American to graduate from Lipscomb" at 7pm in Shamblin Theater, according to Randi Johnson, SGA president.

The panel discussion is part of this year's Conversations program centered on the theme "Community: Are We There Yet?" The panel will consist of students, faculty and staff leading a discussion and answer questions regarding their experiences as relief workers in communities in southern Mississippi, according to Steve Prewitt, associate provost for academic affairs and director of Conversations.
