Since then he has taught in South Africa, England, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan and Papua New Guinea. He did consultant work for the South African stock exchange; is a past columnist for the Financial Mail, a weekly business magazine; and even ran for public office in Canada.

Ingram is a 35-year professor of economics and finance and chair of the department at Lipscomb. His doctorate is from West Virginia University.
