Bookstore reopens after winter break facelift

The newly remodeled university bookstore is now open for business.

University BookstoreRemodeling began the first week of December on the facility to complete renovation that began in the summer.

A series of special activities and promotions is planned to celebrate the reopening culminating with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Jan. 15 from noon to 2 p.m.  At noon, President L. Randolph Lowry will lead the ribbon cutting. Following the ribbon cutting, there will be giveaways along with door prize drawings and discounted food court items. Also, guests can enjoy free samples of ZeBi’s smoothies and pastries in addition to entertainment provided by Lipscomb’s Music Department.

Additional grand reopening activities include:

Jan. 4 • 6-8 p.m.: Alumni First Look reception

Jan. 7: Textbook drawing. One winning student will receive free textbook rental for the spring semester. Winner announced at close of business.

Jan. 8: Lanyard and 30 percent discount coupon giveaway following The Gathering

Jan. 10 • 4-7 p.m.: Coffeehouse in the bookstore featuring live entertainment. The first ten attendees will receive a free Lipscomb mug.

Jan. 11: Drawing for free sweatshirts. Winner announced at close of business.

Jan. 14: Drawing for free blanket. Winner announced at close of business.

Jan. 17 • noon-2 p.m.: Apparel contest, food giveaways, prizes and coupons.

University BookstoreThis summer, the bookstore relocated to the lower level of the campus center and Sodexo partnered with the university to manage the operation. In addition to the renovation, bookstore officials moved to an online textbook ordering process.
