Bison Tracks keeps alumni connected

The Office of Alumni Relations at Lipscomb knows the value of friendships developed with fellow students and even with faculty and staff members on campus. Alumni spent their college years worshipping, studying and just hanging out with students from across the country and around the world.  After graduation, it can be easy to lose touch with people you were close to. We don't want to lose contact with you, and we don't want you to lose contact with those friends. That is why we are constantly developing new features and offering new events that make it easier for you to keep up with each other.

This month, the Office of Alumni Relations launched Bison Tracks, a new, free, subscription-only, monthly e-mail newsletter for alumni and friends of Lipscomb University. Bison Tracks was created to help keep alumni informed about events, university activities and accomplishments of fellow alums.

Alumni don’t just get to read the news; they can contribute to Bison Tracks. Stories of alumni who have achieved success in their chosen field or are involved in community service or mission work, for example, can be forwarded for consideration for inclusion in a future issue. There must be a URL link to the story, however. The newsletter will contain brief story descriptions with a link to fuller stories.

“Bison Tracks was designed with alumni and friends of Lipscomb as the focus. We want to provide a monthly update on events, university activities and accomplishments of fellow alums. If an alum is making a difference or has achieved success, we want to know about it,” says Mark Meador, senior director of alumni relations.
