Armstrong appointed senior development counsel

In this role Armstrong will collaborate with the President L. Randolph Lowry and the development team on campaign planning and strategy, partner with university administration on major donor relation initiatives and provide leadership for major fundraising programs for athletics and the campus school.

 

“Dale has an enormous passion for Lipscomb’s mission as well as vast experience in developing successful fundraising programs for educational institutions. I believe he brings strong leadership to this job and will be a valuable asset to our development team,” said Lipscomb president L. Randolph Lowry.

 

Armstrong brings with him nearly 20 years’ experience in development and has led successful campaigns ranging from $1.3-$30 million for more than 50 organizations. For the past 12 years, Armstrong has served as vice president for Dickerson and Associates, a development firm based in Colorado. During that time, he led successful capital campaigns for Christian schools and colleges throughout the country. Armstrong was also executive director of Georgia Christian School for five years, during which time he helped grow the institution’s enrollment from 60 to 298 students. In addition, Armstrong has been a successful business owner and entrepreneur.

 

A former member of the Lipscomb University golf team, Armstrong played professional golf throughout the United States, Canada and South Africa for nine years after graduating from the university in 1986. Armstrong also was minister of the Statenville Church of Christ in Valdosta, Ga. For 15 years.
