Whether you just graduated from Lipscomb this past May or 40 years ago, make plans now to attend Herdcoming, Lipscomb’s alumni reunion weekend, Jan. 23-24, 2015.

Alumni of all ages are invited to come home to Lipscomb University to reconnect with friends, to see former professors, to check out new facilities or just to find out what has been happening on campus the last few years.

“No matter where our alumni go after they leave Lipscomb, they are always part of the Bison herd,” said Rhonda Minton, director of alumni programs. “We have planned this special weekend for the herd to return home to campus to see the exciting things that have been happening since they left and so we can reconnect with them as well.”

Activities include:
Friday, Jan. 23

  • 5 p.m. – Jean Dennison Presidential Lectureship for Art and Art History reception in the John C. Hutcheson Gallery, James D. Hughes Center.
  • 6 p.m. – Jean Dennison Presidential Lectureship for Art and Art History lecture featuring graphic designer Jessica Hische. Ward Lecture Hall, McFarland Science Center. Sponsored by Department of Art.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Class of 1964 and 1965 50th Reunion Reception, Paul Rogers Board Room, Ezell Center,
  • 6:30 p.m. – Class of 1964 and 1965 50th Reunion Dinner, Ezell Center, Room 301

Saturday, Jan. 24

  • 9 to 10 a.m. – Golden Circle Coffee – Paul Rogers Board Room, Ezell Center
  • 9 to 11 a.m. – Pi Delta Alumni Breakfast - Shamblin Theater, Bennett Campus Center. Contact Tiffani Jones at 615-418-4484 to RSVP.
  • 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. – A Cappella Singers Concert, Collins Alumni Auditorium
  • Noon – 1:30 p.m. Lunch on Your Own
    • On-campus food options in Bennett Campus Center include: Bison Café, Chick-fil-A, Blue Coast Burrito, Far East Fusion, ZeBi's and CStore.
  • 2:30 p.m. – “Greek Life Alumni Family and Friends Fair,” Reception, McQuiddy Gym
  • 4 p.m. – Bison Basketball vs. North Florida; “Star Wars Day” and “Adoption Rally,” Allen Arena; alumni tickets are $10 per person ($5 for children age 3-12 years old)
  • 5 to 7 p.m. — Class of 1974 and 1975: 40 year-reunion dinner, first floor, Bennett Campus Center; $15 per person; RSVP
  • 5:30 to 7 p.m. – Alumni Dinner, Shamblin Theatre, $10 per person ($5- 5-12 yrs)
  • 7 p.m. – NaNaNa Reunion Concert, Collins Alumni Auditorium. $5 per person
