Several ASCE students set aside a Sunday in October to assist disabled Marine veteran, William Hunter. Hunter had contacted ASCE Vice President, and fellow Marine veteran, David Callahan with the request to seal the deck of his home. The students not only did that, but also cleaned the yard, cut the grass, and pressure cleaned Hunter’s house.

Kristiane Higgs, Katherine Climaco, Paulina Martinez and Grant Brown are all students in the Fred D. Gray Institute for Law, Justice, and Society at Lipscomb University. They were presented the award in respect to the impactful work Dr. Gray has done as a lawyer and civil rights activist.
