The Citizens Committee will host the 41st annual Tennessee Prayer Breakfast March 26 on the campus of Lipscomb University. Gary Haugen, founder and president of International Justice Mission, is the keynote speaker. Remarks by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and performances by the Dove Award-winning singer-songwriter Ellie Holcomb and the Nashville Choir will also be featured at the breakfast.

The breakfast will take place from 7-8:30 a.m. in Allen Arena, located on the Lipscomb campus. Doors open at 6:30 a.m. Tickets are $35 each or $350 for a table of 10 and may be purchased at www.tennesseeprayerbreakfast.org.

Before founding IJM in 1997, Haugen was a human rights attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, where he focused on crimes of police misconduct. In 1994, he served as the director of the United Nations’ investigation in the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide. In this role, he led an international team of lawyers, criminal prosecutors, law enforcement officers and forensics experts to gather evidence that would eventually be used to bring the perpetrators of the genocide to justice.
