Tickets are now on sale for the 46th production of The Tau Phi Cowboy Show on Sept. 12 in Willard Collins Alumni Auditorium. The club's talented members and "The Golden Boys" are putting a great show together, alongside some of the most talented female voices at Lipscomb!
The Tau Phi Cowboy Show is the annual rootin’ tootin,’ honky tonkin’ country music production run by the club and is on†e of the longest-running student-led productions on campus. It's hosted and performed by Tau Phi members. You won't want to miss this!
Tau Phi honorary member and Cowboy Show band leader, Pat Flynn (‘92) returns to lead the show for the 28th year. The club is continuing a tradition started in 2024 by honoring individual club alumni who have represented the values of Tau Phi through their professional and personal achievements, as well as service and contributions to Lipscomb University. This year the club will recognize Bill Burton (’70) and Dr. Carl McKelvey (’53).
Burton is a charter member of Tau Phi and was the club’s first president. He served as administrative vice president at Greater Atlanta Christian School, where he spent 46 years working in Christian education. McKelvey will receive the club’s honorary member status. As dean of students at Lipscomb, McKelvey interacted with the men of Tau Phi frequently, providing guidance on club matters and the production of Cowboy Show. For over six decades McKelvey served in various capacities of teaching, leadership and administration at Lipscomb.
COST: Tickets are $15 per person for general admission; $10 for Lipscomb University students. Deadline to purchase tickets is midnight on Sept. 9.
