The annual Landiss Lecture will feature author and nonprofit leader Lindsey Krinks who will present on "Writing with Dangerous Memory and Radical Hope as the Whole World Wails." The Landiss Lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the George Shinn Center. The event is free and open to the public. The Landiss Lecture is presented by the Department of English and Modern Languages. 

About the Speaker

Lindsey Krinks (MTS, Vanderbilt Divinity School) is a street chaplain, activist, and nonprofit leader who has worked for over a decade on the front lines of social justice movements. She is the cofounder of Open Table Nashville, a nationally acclaimed interfaith homeless outreach nonprofit. Krinks has served as a fellow with the New Leaders Council, a national network for millennial leaders, and regularly speaks to student, church, and community groups across the country. She was featured in Saint Cloud Hill, a documentary about Nashville's largest homeless camp in 2019 and has been featured in dozens of Nashville news stories. Her book Praying with Our Feet: Pursuing Justice and Healing on the Streets is now available.
