On Wednesday, April 3 at 7:30 a.m., join Lipscomb's college of engineering to celebrate Global Day of the Engineer with guest speaker Dr. Christine Darden, retired NASA engineer. Featured in Margot Lee Shetterly's book Hidden Figures, Dr. Darden will share her experience as a trailblazer at Langley, including her extensive research on sonic booms.
Enjoy a networking breakfast with fellow engineers and Dean David Elrod. We'll also send off Lipscomb's Bison Ballistics Rocket Team as they head to Huntsville to compete in the NASA Student Launch initiative. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. in Ezell 301. Parking is available in the adjacent West Garage. Dr. Darden's visit is made possible by Dick and Mary Ann Peugeot, founders of the Peugeot Center for Engineering Service in Developing Communities at Lipscomb University.
