Fall 2025 Lifelong Learning Special Gathering: “Life After the Bombing of Pearl Harbor”

DETAILS: Join Lipscomb University special event hostess Mary Nelle Chumley (’53) on Friday, Sept. 12 at Longview Mansion for “Life After the Bombing of Pearl Harbor” presented by the Lifelong Learning program.
On Dec. 8, 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt addressed a joint session of Congress, declaring that the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, was "a date which will live in infamy." He then requested that Congress formally declare war on Japan. Chumley, age 96, shares memories about her experiences and daily life following the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
Cost is $45 per person and includes lunch. Registration is required by Sept. 9. Free parking is available on site.
