Alumni & Friends Travel: Deposit deadline for “Footsteps of Paul” trip in November 2026
Tuesday, May 5 - All Day
Registrations and deposits are due May 5 for “Footsteps of Paul,” a Nov. 2-19 trip hosted by the Lipscomb University Alumni & Friends Travel Program this fall.
Join Lipscomb University alumni, friends and faculty host Dr. Scott Sager, special advisor for mission and ministry at Lipscomb, on an extraordinary spiritual journey. The Alumni and Friends Travel program retraces the missionary travels of the apostle Paul across three magnificent countries—Turkey, Greece and Italy.
The adventure begins in Istanbul, where ancient faith comes alive at the Topkapi Palace and the breathtaking Chora Museum-Church of St. Saviour, home to stunning biblical frescoes and mosaics. Explore legendary Troy with its famous wooden horse replica, then journey to the Basilica of St. John and the ancient city of Pergamon, where early Christian communities flourished. Visit the Roman Imperial Hall in Sardis, the ancient Philadelphia’s monumental church ruins—sites in Ephesus where Paul himself preached the Gospel.
Board a cruise ship and sail to sacred Patmos, where John received his Revelation. Explore the Monastery of St. John and the Grotto of the Apocalypse before continuing to historical sites in Rhodes, the majestic Acropolis of Lindos and breathtaking Santorini, where natural beauty inspires spiritual reflection. In Greece, we’ll explore Ancient Corinth, where Paul established a vibrant church. Visit Athens’ Acropolis and Mars Hill, where Paul delivered his famous sermon to the Athenians. Journey to the awe-inspiring monasteries of Meteora in Kalambaka, then to Thessaloniki and historic Philippi—the site of Paul’s first European sermon. Our pilgrimage culminates in Rome, the Eternal City, where we’ll experience the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Vatican City’s Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica and the iconic Colosseum.
This is more than a tour—it’s a transformative experience connecting Scripture to sacred sites, deepening faith while creating lasting memories with your university community.
