Gov. Bill and First Lady Maria Lee are hosting the 46th Annual Tennessee Prayer Breakfast at Lipscomb's Allen Arena on March 17, 2020, from 7 to 8:30 a.m. (doors open at 6:30 a.m.). Tickets are $35 each or $350 for a table, and advance registration is required.

The Tennessee Prayer Breakfast is presented annually by The Citizens’ Committee, which is a volunteer group of Christian business leaders, elected officials and ministry leaders.

The event is held annually in Nashville prior to the conclusion of the Tennessee General Assembly’s legislative session and features music, a short message, and prayer for God’s grace on the state of Tennessee, its officials and its citizens.

Some 500 to 800 guests attend from across the state representing government, business, education and churches.

This year’s special guests are Mark W. Koch, author, speaker and film producer, and singer/songwriter CeCe Winans.

Koch founded Prelude Pictures in 1992 and has had major box office hits, as well as his book, “The First House,” which was promoted and distributed through his company Prelude Publishing. In December 1997, God touched Mark’s heart and at the height of his career, he took a hiatus from the film business to concentrate on his family life and pursue his newfound passion to serve God. In 2003, he returned to help promote and market “The Passion of the Christ,” and he is currently producing the much-anticipated “George Jones” biopic, expected to hit theaters in fall 2021.

Winans is the best-selling and most-awarded female gospel artist of all time. She’s been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Nashville Music City Walk of Fame, in addition to being named a Trailblazer of Soul by BMI and garnering multiple NAACP Image Awards, Soul Train Awards, Essence Awards and more. She’s sold more than 5 million albums in the U.S., topping the gospel charts and crossing over with smashes like “Count On Me,” her stunning duet with Whitney Houston from the multiplatinum “Waiting To Exhale” soundtrack.
