Cost of Attendance
Cost of Attendance (COA) is used, in part, to help determine a student’s financial aid eligibility and to help estimate costs associated with attending college. The costs listed here are estimates before any aid is applied. To estimate your costs after aid, you can use our Net Price Calculator tool.
The following COA represents an average of direct [paid to Lipscomb] and indirect [miscellaneous personal expenses*] costs you may encounter while attending Lipscomb University. The total amount is not what you will owe Lipscomb. Your actual bill may be less than the published COA based on individual selections, such as housing or meal plans. Your total financial aid (e.g. grants, scholarships, and loans) cannot exceed your COA.
* Estimated miscellaneous personal expenses include items like laundry, clothing, snacks, personal care items, etc. Actual costs will vary by student.
Undergraduate COA is calculated based on full-time enrollment of 12 to 18 hours per semester. To be considered a full-time student, you must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Lipscomb uses block billing, so the tuition is a block rate between 12 - 18 hours.
The Financial Aid Office may adjust the student’s COA on a documented case-by-case basis.
* Estimated miscellaneous personal expenses include items like laundry, clothing, snacks, personal care items, etc. Actual costs will vary by student.
** Housing and Food rates can be different depending on student choices. Alternate options are available.
