Report an Incident
Call 966-7600 (or 7600 on a campus phone) or use a Blue Emergency Call Box located in all major areas of campus.
All Lipscomb security and safety officers are trained to respond to any emergency situation, whether medical, criminal or natural. Simply make the call, and security personnel will be dispatched to the scene immediately.
We prefer you to contact Lipscomb security before calling Metro. Then, Lipscomb security will triage with Metro, if needed, to get you the quickest assistance and direct them specifically to you.
However, if you feel the incident requires Metro attention first, call 9-1-1 and then immediately call 615.966.7600 afterwards. We will help direct Metro onto the campus and work with them to address the emergency quickly and completely.
Lipscomb Ready App
The Lipscomb Ready App provides a way to report a non-emergency incident, links to Lipscomb’s Behavioral Intervention Team, Health Center and the Counseling Center, as well as a list of local hospitals and walk-in clinics, in addition to other resources.
“Lipscomb ready has several advantages over our previous system as those on-campus can use it to allow security officers to monitor their travel on campus after dark, students can use it to notify a friend to track their travel even when they are off-campus, and there is a call for help button that gives the user the option to call 911 or campus security and automatically notifies the officials of the user’s location,” said Kathy Hargis, associate vice president of risk management and compliance.
