There are several steps in the process from applying to receiving financial aid, so it’s good to understand what to expect. There will be some waiting time between applying for admission and receiving your aid. We hope this helps as you think ahead.
Overview of Financial Aid Process
Apply for Aid
Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Lipscomb School code: 003486
Learn more about the types of aid available.
Review your Financial Aid Package
You’ll be notified via your Lipscomb email address when a Financial Aid package is ready to view in myLipscomb Student Portal.
Accept Loans
- Learn more about the types of Graduate Loans in our Types of Aid section.
- Accept / reject loans through myLipscomb Student Portal.
- Sign the Master Promissory Note (MPN)
- Complete the Loan Entrance Counseling.
Step 4: Complete Verification (if applicable)
- In some instances, supporting documentation will be required to verify the data you submitted on the FAFSA. You will be notified if you are selected for verification.
- Gather required tax and income documentation based on selected verification. KHEAA will contact you directly to collect this information from you.
- For identification only verification, visit the Financial Aid office with a valid government-issued photo ID and sign a Statement of Educational Purpose.
Receive Offered Aid
- Notify the Financial Aid office of any outside aid.
- Make Financial Arrangements with the Business Office.
- Award applied to your financial statement.

Based on these resources, our financial counselors will put the best available package together for you. In addition, Lipscomb will apply any outside scholarships or grants you have earned to your financial aid package.

Payment Arrangements for Fall Term is due August 1st
Please ensure you have completed your FAFSA application for access to Direct Federal Unsubsidized Loans and your Graduate PLUS application, if you want the Grad PLUS loan at least 2 weeks prior to these deadlines.
Begin filing your FAFSA for the coming school year.
Note: Due to the anticipated FASFA Simplification changes, the Department of Education currently estimates the FASFA for the 2024-25 school year not to be available until December 2023. We will update this page as more information becomes available.
