Mentorship
At the Lipscomb University Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, we have a network of talented and experienced mentors, both on staff and in our external community, who can help you launch and grow your business.
We will be there every step throughout your entrepreneurial journey to provide ongoing, hands-on, coaching and assistance during each phase of your start-up journey. We will help you find the resources and expertise you need to be successful and match you with mentors who are experts in your chosen business and industry.
A Framework for Success
Research suggests that most entrepreneurial businesses fail primarily due to the inexperience of the dreamers who start them. The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation intervenes with an environment in which creativity is shaped by solid business knowledge.
Students will experience what it means to start their own businesses well before graduation. In fact, upon graduation, student entrepreneurs should have a finely-tuned business plan ready to execute, one that has survived student and faculty critique based on the experience of faculty mentors who have traveled down the same entrepreneurial journey.
Students will also have many opportunities to conduct customer discovery research to validate their business models and make necessary iterations to improve business success.
Their mentorship and guidance along the way was instrumental in helping my business grow — Garrett Elmore, Haulee
