Lipscomb in Florence

Inspired by art, history and delicious food, Florence is home to locals, tourists and study abroad students from all over the world. Florence is an easily walkable city that invites curiosity and exploration on every street.

Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, contains more art per square mile than any other place on earth. It is inspiring to walk the same cobbled streets as Brunelleschi, Leonardo da Vinci, Machiavelli, Michelangelo, Galileo and a host of others who helped shape our world and civilization. Spanning the Arno River in the central province of Tuscany, this former capital of Italy provides an ideal location for students of any discipline. While Florence is located almost at the center of the Italian peninsula, all of central Europe is simply a plane or train rideaway.
