Founded in 2011, the Lipscomb Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation was created to serve as an academic hub for entrepreneurship, both on Lipscomb University's campus and in the surrounding community.

The Center aims to produce the next generation of innovative entrepreneurial leaders in the greater Nashville area and beyond.

Sisters and Lipscomb Bisons Anna Belle and Lila Mae are making their mark in the gluten-free snack food industry. The pair, from Murfreesboro, Tennessee began selling homemade gluten-free granola while still in high school and launched their business officially in June 2021.

Brotherdale Creative combines Franklin’s entrepreneurial spirit with his photography and videography skills to service clients across a number of mediums. And even though his business was already thriving, Franklin says he learned some invaluable lessons at Lipscomb.

What started out as a small side-business with a mission has pivoted and grown immensely since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, having first moved into its own downtown Nashville brick-and-mortar location, then having purchased a 10-acre farm in Rwanda to produce coffee beans and now having developed a proposal to expand Kwizera in locations across the U.S.

Dolled by Dorie works with clients to create custom luxury glam makeup looks for their individual needs. Dolled by Dorie's mission is to empower all to embrace their physical beauty, but also to see the value in personality traits that are intangible.

While Nashville is full of terrific coffee shops, All People Coffee stands out from the rest for a number of reasons. One of only a few Black-owned coffee shops in the city, it is located in the neighborhood of Cleveland Park, where Bruce lives and described as a “coffee desert”.

In January 2020, the Nashville native established his landscaping business, 615 Lawn and Land, as a Limited Liability Corporation. With sales revenues already reaching six figures and revenue growth increasing by 138% this year, Upton plans to run his business full-time following his graduation in May 2021.
