Shaniya Pleasant

Meet Niya, a Junior Biology major from Nashville, TN. Upon graduation she will be attending Lipscomb College of Pharmacy to pursue a career in Chemotherapy Pharmacology.

Advice to Lipscomb students: Being nice to anyone and everyone never hurts. People go through a lot in life and just smiling at someone or even complimenting them could help brighten their day.

What are you involved in at Lipscomb? I am a Pre-pharmacy member, a student employee for OID and a member of the Black Student Union.

Fun Fact: Freshman year, while in lab we made aspirin and it was the coolest thing ever for a future pharmacist.

Why did you choose Lipscomb?: I choose Lipscomb because I love the atmosphere and the people.Being involved in a close knit community allows me to thrive and I knew so needed that when I was picking a college to attend.
