The spectacle of Joseph wows audiences in newly renovated Collins Auditorium

Janel Shoun |

Lipscomb University’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was a huge success this weekend.

“It far exceeded our expectations,” said director Mike Fernandez, who reported that more than 500 people attended each night for a grand total of more than 1,700 people.

The cast of almost 50 students and guest artists, including a children’s choir, brought the Biblical story of Joseph and his “coat of many colors” to life with all the same spectacle and spirit of the original production which has been staged all around the world.

Those who missed this ground-breaking production – the first in the newly renovated Collins Alumni Auditorium – still have a chance to buy season tickets to attend three more production in the 2008-09 school year.
