Lipscomb University Racquet Club offers free memberships for summer months

The Lipscomb University Racquet Club, located at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center on the Lipscomb University campus, will offer free memberships to the community that are good from July 1 to Sept. 11.

 

Lipscomb University Racquet Club memberships include free court use and priority court reservation, a free monthly adult clinic and discounts on other clinics and private lessons, discounts on junior programs, a discount on summer leagues, tournaments, social events and more. The free summer membership provides a savings of $135 per person.

 

In addition, memberships include a discount on wellness programs offered through the Lipscomb University Campus Recreation program, including group fitness classes, Spinning, Adventure Boot Camp, nutrition classes and personal training.

 

 

Six lighted tennis courts located on the top of the Allen Arena West Parking Garage are open for use from 8 a.m. to noon and 4-8 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 1-6 p.m. Sunday. The campus is located at One University Park Drive, Nashville, 37204.

 

“Currently there is not a comprehensive facility of this kind in the Green Hills area. Our hope is that with this new tennis facility, we can instruct all ages in life skills through a lifetime sport. With programs offered throughout the day, we have something for everyone,” said Andrew Harris, director of the Lipscomb University Racquet Club and head coach for Lipscomb’s men's tennis team.
