A healthy campus is a happy campus, and the Lipscomb community will have an opportunity to learn more about healthy lifestyles and resources that are available at the annual HealthyU Expo set for Wednesday, April 13.

The 2016 HealthyU Expo will take place from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Student Activities Center. Sponsored by the HealthyU Wellness Program, the event is free and open to Lipscomb employees. It will feature nearly 24 vendors from on- and off- campus who will cover a variety of topics ranging from mental and financial wellness to nutrition and exercise.

“I am confident that our employees who stop by the Expo will learn about leading a healthier lifestyle,” said Anna Rose Robertson, assistant professor of kinesiology and director of the HealthyU Wellness Program. “Employees will have an opportunity to stop by each vendor and learn more about being healthy and about the resources that are available to them. It will be a good day to celebrate health and wellness and to further equip our employees to make healthy lifestyle choices and improve their overall wellness.”

The expo will feature information about the HealthyU employee wellness program, dietetic program interns will demonstrate sugar tables, student pharmacists will offer blood glucose screenings and nursing faculty will offer blood pressure readings. In addition, representatives from Lipscomb’s human resources office, campus recreation, health services and the Lipscomb Family Therapy Center will be on hand as well as representatives from TIAA-CREF and Fidelity with information about Lipscomb’s retirement funds.

Other vendors include HelloFresh/Green Bean Delivery information table, Natalie's Office Spa, Fleet Feet Sports, YMCA of Middle Tennessee, doTerra Essential Oils, Berry Hill Chiropractic, Sanctuary Yoga Body and Spirit, Dental Care of Franklin, Sevier Park Community Center, You Can Heal You, Gadler Fitness and Nutrition and Urban Juicer.
